the Beginnings
Our story begins more than 100 years ago, in 1912, when Giovanni opened his first artisan shoe shop in Grumo Nevano.
Grumo Nevano is a small village in the province of Naples where the art of "knowing how to make shoes" has always been handed down from generation to generation, from father to son.
Giovanni was one of the best artisans of Grumo Nevano, every day customers went to the shop to admire his handcrafted creations and came happy with their new shoes. The whole town talked about it and Giovanni became a point of reference for everyone.
Over time, the business was inherited by Vittorio who opened his first shoe shop in 1987, TipTap. In more than 30 years of activity it has become an icon in the country.

Our company has always represented the art of making shoes and over the years has developed with several stores in Campania, always offering footwear from internationally important brands that stand out for their quality, freshness and style.
In 2006 Vittorio opened the first NEED store, in the Campania Mall in Marcianise, one of the largest centers in Italy. The first large shop which today, after more than 15 years, is one of the main shoe stores in Campania.
The TipTap shop in 2009 moved to Frattamaggiore, near the country of origin, on the main street and is the reference point for neighboring countries.
In 2009, the first Melluso Store franchising in Italy was inaugurated in Centro Campania, a few steps from NEED.

In October 2016 NEED becomes a web store, www.needstore.it is born.
Through our web store we have expanded our borders and today we sell our footwear all over the world.
